FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the Scrumptious Sunday? This is a weekly meme for Sundays. I will give question(s) and/or a theme for food. You can include a list of the foods, original pictures, pictures you find, stories, how-to’s, recipes…Participants can also add what kind of scrumptious dinner they had on that Sunday.

What is Hump Day Humor? This is a weekly meme for Hump Day~Wednesdays. Participants will post anything humorous: email forwards, pictures, happenings, or personal stories that go along with the question(s) and/or theme that I will post each Tuesday for the following Wednesday.

Why do people do memes? To give bloggers a weekly game to play that also encourages them to visit each other’s sites. Whether you play or not, you can always check out the comments of those who have, visit their blogs, and find some interesting new places to enjoy. That’s how it all began.

Do I have to play both? Of course not! You can play either one or both at anytime you wish.

How do I play? There are two ways: you can either leave your answers in a comment here, or answer the questions in your own blog then come back here and leave a link to your post, not your blog url. It’s up to you. If you play at your blog, please post a link back here so that your readers can visit and possibly join in.

What’s the deadline? Deadline? There are no deadlines here. Deadlines are for work and this is for fun and play~recess. You can play any time. You can play the day the memes are posted (which most people do), later in the week, or you can pick and choose whichever one’s you like from the archives.

Headers: Feel free to grab a header picture for your post. Just go to the Headers page to pick and choose. I am also up for any new additions for header graphics. Just email me using my Contact Me page.

Themes: Each meme has a different theme each week. Please check out the Themes page to view upcoming themes. Feel free to leave me a comment or email me with your ideas or suggestions for upcoming themes.

How do I get added to the blogroll? If you wish to be added to the blogroll, you need to be a regular participant. Just send me an email or leave me a comment requesting that you be added. Please include your site name & and site url. You may leave me a comment, use my Contact Me page or email me at: mercedes.rules@hotmail.com.

  3. Choose “save picture as” or “save image as”.
  4. Save this image anywhere on your computer. (and remember where you put it)
  5. Upload the image to your blog.
  6. Insert the image into your blog and make it a link to the blog you want people to go to.

A FEW HINTS

What is meme? In science, a Meme (pronounced to rhyme with “theme”) is a self-propagating unit of thought that is spread from one host to another. Richard Dawkins invented the term as a kind of idea-gene. Like genes, as Memes spread they mutate or die. Only the fittest Memes survive.

For bloggers: Memes have become synonymous with internet quizzes, surveys, and novelties that people link to and pass around on their blogs, forums and via email.

Memes Are Everywhere: All meme sites are different communities and have their own etiquette and rules. Please play by their rules when visiting.

Link Back: Always provide a link back to a site where you got the meme or questions from. It’s the polite thing to do and is required at some sites. Plus, if you like the site, your readers may too.

Post a reply: With most memes, you also need to go back to the original meme and post a reply with the link of your post to let that blog site know you participated.
